Management team

Mr BEN ELLIOT

(ACTING SERVICE Manager)

I have been working in the NHS since I left high school; before later moving to Aberdeen in 2012.  For the last 10 years I have worked in number of different teams including Children's Community Ventilation Care Team, Emergency Department and Medical Specialities before taking up a secondment as a Medical Flow Coordinator where I first got to work alongside the Respiratory Team.

At the beginning of 2021 I was offered a fantastic opportunity to work within Acute Medicine 3 in my first role as part of a Service Management Team.  I am excited about working alongside the Respiratory Team and exploring ways to further improve the service.

Outwith work I enjoy keeping fit and enjoy a range of fitness activities from running and cycling to swimming and going to the gym.

MrS STEPHANIE LLOYD

(ADMINISTRATOR

Before working for the NHS, I had a varied background. I worked in administration roles, Pharmacy as a Dispenser for ten years and trade plumbing and heating for a short period of time.  I love positions where I am kept busy, challenged and the job forever changes.  I have a high attention to detail and believe everything has a place.

I am very self-motivated, but I also love working as part of a team to make sure the job is done right! The respiratory team have been very welcoming and helped me ease into the role.

When I am not in the office, I love spending time with my husband and two children, going to the gym, walking, reading and going to musicals.

MrS LUCY MCLEOD

(uNIT OPERATIONAL MANAGER)

I have a varied educational background having originally trained as a Chef; then moving on to study an Honours Business and Languages degree.  I moved into the NHS in 2002 as the Medical Staffing Specialist; my specialist subject being “The New Consultant Contract”, after a brief spell in the Recruitment Team I moved into Operational Management in 2006.

I had a brief career break in 2014 and opened a vintage Tea Room called the Dormouse and Teacup in Inverurie.  My business won “Best New Business of the Year” via Aberdeen Trend Awards which was a huge achievement during a North East oil downturn.

However, my heart was in the NHS, and I returned to Operational Management having sold on my business, I have supported various disciplines around NHS Grampian including Medicine, Surgery and Clinical Support Services.

The Respiratory Team is a new team for me, and I am very humbled to have been welcomed so warmly.  The team are enthusiastic for service innovation and developing clinical pathways to complement the teams’ clinical skills and the needs of the North East of Scotland population.

Outside of work I am a keen baker and avid theatre goer, perhaps I missed my calling to the Stage – but I am a huge advocate for the NHS, and am honoured to play my part in responding to the daily challenges the teams face.
