Interstitial lung disease (ILD) team
Who are we?
We could not do our job without terrific support from colleagues including:

Who do we see?
We see patients with all forms of suspected interstitial lung disease, notably idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), sarcoidosis, connective tissue disease related lung diseases e.g. scleroderma, rheumatoid lung, drug induced lung diseases, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, asbestosis etc.

How to refer a patient to the ILD service?
For General Practitioners
SCI-store referral marked "suspected ILD" (or similar), should suffice. Your referral is triaged accordingly to us.
For colleagues within the hospital
In-patient review: See Rotawatch for our in-patient Respiratory referral email. E-mail if referring Mon-Friday 0900-1700, unless a clinical emergency (if so, page the on call Respiratory Registrar).
Out-patient review: dictate a letter and ask your secretary to use the internal (electronic) referral system.

Variable, but typically Tuesday and Wednesdays.

The MDT is currently held once a month, typically on a Wednesday lunchtime 1300-1400.
Since the 2020 pandemic it has been held online (Teams). Contact Hazel if you want added to the list (staff only).
