Some of our Clinic C team - Eve Smith (Student Nurse), Lincymole Antony (Staff Nurse), Susan Brittain-Long (Senior Staff Nurse), Clara Dumitru (Senior Health Care Support Worker)
Within Clinic C we have a dedicated team of outpatient nurses made up of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers who will co-ordinate your visit within Clinic C.
It may be necessary for you to have some tests prior to your consultation including a chest x-ray and/or breathing tests and you will be made aware of this on your arrival.
Chest x-rays are carried out within the Outpatient Radiology department which is a short walk away from Clinic C. In most instances you will be directed to the Radiology department for a chest x-ray on arrival within Clinic C. If you have mobility issues please inform reception or nursing staff and assistance will be provided.
Spirometry (simple breathing tests) are carried out routinely for the majority of patients attending the respiratory clinic & can be very useful in the assessment and care planning process. Breathing tests are normally carried out within Clinic C by the nursing team unless you have been asked to attend the Pulmonary Function Lab for slightly more detailed breathing tests.
